Why Bodybuilders Are Taking Another Look.
Hormone researchers have long known arginine can stimulate GH, and improve
strength gains but... exciting new studies are showing how to get a 700% boost
from arginine.
In placebo controlled experiments test subjects took arginine daily for two weeks. Researchers found an increase of nitrogen balance, an increase in circulating Insulin like growth factor-1 as well as increased collagen deposition.
These findings however, came from using large amounts of arginine: 250 mg per 2.2 lbs of bodyweight. That's over 20 grams (5 tsp) a day for a 200 lb man. Consequently, long term arginine supplementation isn't advisable because... the cost is too high.
Boosting The Effect
The solution to this dilemma would be to find a way to decrease the amount of
arginine while increasing it's effectiveness. Fortunately, researchers have
found... using another amino acid along with Arginine accomplishes both goals.
To get more results for less cost:
- Take arginine in combination with other isolated amino acids known to act synergistically with arginine (such as lysine)
- Take these combined amino acids on an empty stomach.
